Awards rock the day for Atlantis Swimming Club

The best swimmers from all levels were rewarded with real magnificence. As their names were announced, they took to the stage with delight and pride, while their fellow teammates applauded and cheered in unison.

The well-deserved awards were handed to:
Best Junior League Swimmers 2017: Nominees: Aarya Morar and Iman Ismail. Winner: Abhay Morar.
Best Level 1 Swimmers 2017: Nominees: Fatima Khan and Aaminah Haasen. Winner: Abdullah Coovadia.
Best Level 2 Swimmers 2017: Nominees: Uthmaan Seedat and Muhammed Rangraze. Winner: Amani Ismail.
Best Level 3 Swimmers 2017: Nominees: Thabo Yona and Faraaz Khan. Winner: Muhammed Adam.
Best SA National Juniour Swimmer 2017: Winner: Taahir Essof
Chairpersons Award For Meritorius Achievement: Junior: Uthmaan Seedat and senior: Amarah Rangraze.
Most Improved Boy Swimmer 2017: Nominees: Muhammed Rangraze and Faraaz Khan. Winner: Thabo Yona.
Most Improved Girl Swimmer 2017: Nominees: Shaheera Seedat and Keara Govender. Winner: Aliyyah Rangraze.
Best Open Water Swimmers 2017: Nominee: Muhammed Adam. Winner: Ayesha Valli
Ambassador Awards 2017: (In memory of Cathy Doyle and Tahseenah Ismail) – Girl swimmer: Shazia Surtee and boy swimmer: Thabo Yona.
Swimmer Of The Year (In memory of Uncle Archie Fakir) – Taahir Essof
A new executive committee was elected at the AGM preceding the awards afternoon.
